She stared at the blank page, unable to write a single word, even though she knew exactly what needed to be said. But knowing what needed to be said and being able to say it were two different things. How did she tell her father that she was pregnant and was now leaving the country to be with her fiancé? How did she tell him that she wouldn’t be visiting him at the home anymore?
It was killing her having to leave, but she had to do it soon because she was getting close to her third trimester and they wouldn’t let her fly after that. Her fiancé was in the military and they had to go where he was sent. It wasn’t a choice, but an order that could not be denied.
All that was left to do was to tell her dad. He wouldn’t even remember it, but at least the nurses could read him the letter everyday. She would send more letters and pictures. She hoped it would be enough.
