Comedy Relief

30-Day Bloggers Group:  November 8, 2013 Prompt:  Pick one of the funniest movies you’ve watched or the funniest books you’ve read and tell us about it. What made the humor effective? Do you use the same techniques in your own writing?

I love to watch comedies on television and in the movies and I occasionally like to read humor books, but haven’t really read many.  I recently read “My Point… And I Do Have One” by Ellen DeGeneres.  I loved this book.  It had me laughing from the beginning until the very end.  She is quite talented especially when it comes to humor.  Personally I like the way she thinks about things.  She’s just as crazy and wacky as I am.  And, yes, when I am writing humor (which isn’t overly often), I do employ the same wackiness to my writing.  I tend to be more sarcastic though.

I am a 43-year-old, single mom of 19-year-old boy/girl twins living in an extremely small town in rural Texas. Currently, I am employed as a Site Supervisor for a prominent corporation that provides security officers for homes and businesses.
