Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.
Dusty, The Cat
Dusty has been a member of my family for many years now, but I have never thought to interview him before this. I’m certain he has an interesting take on the inner workings of this family. Let’s see what he has to say:
Me: Dusty, how do you like being in this family?
Dusty: It’s crowded and your daughter never stops trying to pick me up. What’s up with that?
Me: She loves you and wants to hold you. Do you not like to be petted?
Dusty: No, I like to be petted, but on my own terms. Can you please tell her to wait for me to get on her lap?
Me: I’ll try, but I’m not sure she will listen. You always purr whenever you are on her lap, so she assumes you like it.
Dusty: I’m trying to breathe! She holds me too tight! Make her stop!
Me: I’ll do my best. So, what’s your favorite hobby?
Dusty: I like to play with plastic bags.
Me: Yes, I know. You tend to do it when everyone is trying to sleep.
Dusty: That’s the fun part. Hehe
Me: You are evil.
Dusty: No, I’m a genius. Last night when I did it your daughter decided to feed me. I annoyed her and she rewarded me with food. See how that works.
Me: I really am going to have to talk to her about that.
Dusty: Good luck. (Dusty goes off to kick more litter onto the floor.)
He has a short attention span, so I guess that’s all I’m going to get out of him today. I really am going to have to talk with my daughter about this…
