The Lazarus Effect

I took my kids to see “The Lazarus Effect” this evening.  First, let me just say that it is seriously obnoxious for a theater full of idiot teenagers to pay outrageous prices for theater tickets and then proceed to talk almost the entire way through the movie.  Do they really have nothing better to do with their money and time?

That being said, I went into this movie quite skeptical at first.  When I saw the previews I thought this was going to be a slightly changed version of “Flatliners”.  Who remembers that movie?

Well, to my surprise, this was not the case.  There were a few points when I jumped, but I was never truly scared.  I guess being a mother of 16-year-old twins has rendered me immune to scare tactics.  It wasn’t a bad movie overall, it just really wasn’t all that great either.

In the end, I suggest you save your money and wait for this movie to come out on dvd or on Netflix.

I am a 43-year-old, single mom of 19-year-old boy/girl twins living in an extremely small town in rural Texas. Currently, I am employed as a Site Supervisor for a prominent corporation that provides security officers for homes and businesses.
